Mary Marg Helgenberger born 16 November 1958 is an American actress from America. The 1980s saw her begin her professional career, and was recognized for her role as Siobhan in the daytime soap opera Ryan's Hope between 1982 and the year 1986. Catherine Willows' role in CBS's procedural crime drama is what she is most known for. Crime Scene Investigation from 2000-13 and Immortality (2005). Her role was reprised by Immortality's subsequent sequel Vegas (2022-present). Helgenberger was also in the character K.C. Koloski on the ABC drama China Beach (1988-91) which earned her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. The actress has also been featured in the TV series Under the Dome, Intelligence and in the film Species (1996) Species II (1998), Erin Brockovich (2000), and Mr. Brooks (2007). The eldest of four kids. McCain finished her education at the Phoenix Country Day School and Xavier College Preparatory an all-girl private Catholic high school. In 2007, McCain earned an undergraduate degree in Art History from Columbia University. She graduated in 2017 and became co-host of the morning show The View, which she hosted from 2021 to 2021. For her work she earned four Daytime Emmy Award nominations. McCain's other responsibilities include being an Daily Mail columnist after her time on The View.
